Not sure if its appropriate to put here, but I figured those who dont check the store ever would like to know.
You can get the neon flamingo wall light (!!!!!!!!) for free, as well as an abstract painting centered around grilled cheese.

Plus some perhaps misplaced paintings, one of "Bella" and one of "The Tragic Clown". They aren't named like that(the clown is "Ironic Clown" and the bella one mentions no name), but it's still a little odd for adult bella to be referenced in the game with child bella. Very pretty either way.

And finally, a painting of Sunset Valley's horizon and a seemingly completely unrelated forest sprite outfit.

Apologies if these are old, but I am pretty sure I didnt see them last week. The flamingo and paintings are well worth pointing out, though. :D

I love the bella and the clown paintings, I also like the clothing! I bet it would be of use to all those waiting to download that great custom medival world that's in progress.

Maybe it's just my taste but I've been very disappointed by this whole anniversary thing. So far the only thing they've released that I even remotely wanted was the lips couch, and that disappeared before I could even see it.
If they really wanted to be nostalgic, how about releasing some good stuff the way they used to in the Sims 1 days. They used to put out street vending carts, celebrity Sims, pop machines and new commercials for the television, not to mention EP specific things like a cabinet with a secret compartment for storing your magical supplies.
Thanks for the links anyhow, Cleric.

Remember the skeleton maid?! Sorry, I know that's off-topic... But the skeleton maid! Skeleton maid.

I like the idea of nostalgia items on the official site too but I must admit that I was hoping for objects that have existed before. A painting of Bella and the Tragic Clown just wouldn't be the same as having Bella's Sims 1 outfit for the Sims 3 or the the Tragic Clown NPC himself.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed though. Maybe we'll get the piano back. :)

I had seen the paintings and the neon flamingo (the flamingo is of my favorite Sim's things). But I didn't see the painting along with the outfit. Thanks for the link.
The thing I think I miss the most though is the hot tub. Almost everyone of my Sim's had a hot tub.

I also miss the hottub... How else are my casual-woohoo romantic sims supposed to fulfill their tasteless desires? In bed? Please...

The fact the Bella painting is done in a sort of Klimt style made the art nerd in me giggle and clap hands in delight.

There is more to come, because I just read this at TS3 forum:
The countdown to our 10th Anniversary has begun! To help you get in the spirit, we’ve put together some special promotions and free stuff over the next couple of days.
Be sure to check back daily to see the surprises revealed!
That sounds promising, so they'd better live up to it!

That was posted Monday. There most likely won't be anymore free items this week, but they have updated the store, and one of the sets is the 50s dinner stuff from Nightlife.

The stuff looks good and I was excited by the 50's stuff until I read the blurb:
I Heart The 50’s
Burn rubber and head on over to check out what is the bomb! Recreate Hogan’s Fried-Food at home and throw a sock hop.
Does anyone else find it weird that they gave us stuff to create a faux diner at home? Is this a baby step towards OFB possibilities?

I did forget about the skeleton maid but thanks for the reminder. Just thinking about her about made me laugh.
I miss the light-hearted humor of TS1 and TS2.

I didn't read the blurb, but the fact they gave us diner stuff struck me odd, seeing as the diner in the game you can't see inside. Maybe that set is a small hint about the hobbies and occupations EP that is rumored to be coming out in June.

It's not odd, it's the EA way. The diner set meshes were already made for S2, just needed to be converting for S3 use.
It's just another way of making a quick buck, which EA are very good at...

Good Point, EA sure does know how to make money. That they do it in part by being chisellers with Sims 3 content annoys me to no end.

I agree about the free stuff they gave us in TS1 days versus now.
Oh how I miss the charm of that game. If they could age and we could play legacy style, I think I'd still be playing it to this day!

I do love EA's sense of humour though. The just in Puck line cracked me up. One of my favourite plays.
