Sims 2 Video Problems

Hi!

I'm not sure if its caused by the Sims 2 itself or something else on my computer, but whenever I try and watch a video I've recorded on the Sims 2, it just comes up as blank coloured screens.

Does anybody have any idea what is causing this? Any contributions will be very welcome!

What media player are you using? What format is the video in?

I'm trying to edit them together with Windows Movie Maker, and I'm importing them straight form the 'Movies' file under 'EA Games'/'Sims 2'.
(It used to worked when I had Sims 2 installed on another computer)
