So. I have a legit copy of the sims. I've recently reinstalled and started playing it again. (I also run windows vista).
So, a couple of days ago I was trying to install the Riverview neighborhood. (Pleasantview is great and all but I needed a change). Every time I tried to install it the sims 3 installer failed. I used this site and google and tried everything I could. There's no Riverview.World file for me to move into the Saved Worlds folder and I dont seem able to find it. At all.
BUT I've accepted the fact my game hates me and riverview wont install. It's been a couple of days and tonight I turned my game on and went to play with the family I've been working on.
I immediately notice that the mother's hair is in a bun, not the CC hairstyle that I had saved on her. Her husband and four teenage sons are all bald. The toddlers are missing the pony tail portion of their hair.
In the icons, they all still have the CC, but for some reason my CC isn't showing up in the game. I took the mother to edit appearance using a mirror and I dont even see the files.
Any help is appreciated, also if anyone knows why Riverview wont install that'd be nice too but I dont care about that so much as my custom content showing up in game, considering its been working fine all this time.

I actually resolved this on my own. Somehow the Resources.cfg file got deleted when I was fiddling around trying to install Riverview. All my CC works now so you guys can just close this thread, thanks.
