Ram 4GB
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition Service Pack 2 (build 6002), 32-bit
ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x9591) 1.7GB

Ok, I reinstalled the games so there is NO custom content, So this is a 100% clean install, i have added nothing to it. The game has updated itself to the latest version.

I double click on the game icon, it starts up like usual it shows the start up video, but when it gets to the loading screen it just plays the music and nothing else. When open up windows task manger , it says it is not responding.

I have had this game working before on this computer, i had to reinstall it after installing a sims 2 hack, which stuffed up the game.

I have the following installed: The sims2, The Sims™ 2 Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff, The Sims™ 2 Teen Style Stuff, The Sims 2 Open For Business, The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff and The Sims 2 University

Any help would be GREAT!! :)
PS, i hope im not posting in the wrong section because there is no "Sims 2 Help" section http://i42.tinypic.com/i370ae.jpg

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:

General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue. Please post your system specs - instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specs.

If it is not specifically asked, please provide the Quick summary only.

Sounds like you need to update the audio drivers.
When you did a reinstall, did you also clean up after the uninstaller? It would have left some leftover folders and registry entries, otherwise. Game_Help:Uninstall

Before you resorted to an uninstall, removing that suspected new hack plus caches did not resolve it?
Do you get the same issue if you bypass the Launcher?

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.
