Custom content and saves lost.????

Hey all,

I am sorry for not directly following the rules, But I have searched and searched through the 'MTS's Help Section' and found that it was in fact not at all of any help what so ever.

I have recently installed the HELS expansion pack for TS3 once installed I updated all of the patches required only to start the game and find that all of my downloads had gone along with my save-game for Riverview.

So I exited the game and checked that everything was definitely up-to date, It was, So I un-installed all of my downloads (I don't know if this was the right thing to do, it said they were installed, but they were quite blatantly not) and then re-installed them. I then re-entered the game to find that still... Nothing had changed.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated, and as I said I'm sorry for posting this in the wrong section but I could not find any other way of finding out.

-EDIT- OK I just scrolled down a bit on the 'MTS's Help Section' and saw a link for the help forum *slaps forehead* sorry about that. If a MOD Could move this it'd be appreciated.

What patch version are you now using?

Have you tried the suggestions in the Launcher sticky?
Did you keep a backup of the .dbc files before you uninstalled? Otherwise the Launcher sticky's suggestions won't work.

Most likely the content and save files, etc need to be decrapified - similar issue here Launcher won't install downloade Sims3pack files with the suggested solution here (http://www.modthesims.info/showpost.php?p=3089711&postcount=22).
