Can't play without updates :(

Hi,

I reinstalled my sims 3 game and now my latest update is 3.0.38 (I have sims high end loft) and I dont wanna any update for my game, but when I wanna play it said I HAVE to download EA manager and get the latest updates for my game. How can I play without doing this. I hear so many people say they don't update anymore, but do u do that ??

Run the game from the executable, rather than from the launcher:

No i tried running through my computer/EA games etc. but I get the error that my basic sims 3 game isn't compatible with sims 3 WA and I have to update :S

You must update the Base-Game to the same patch level as which ever Expansion Pack you have installed.

As you mentioned version 3.0 (The first level of HEL Pack), you will need to update the base-game to Patch Level 1.9 to match.

If you choose not to update, then you must uninstall the HEL Pack, or you will be unable to use an earlier patch level.

Question: How do I know what my Game Version(s) are?
Answer: By looking at the first line of the skuversion.txt file - such as GameVersion = 1.11.7.005001
You can find the skuversion.txt file in each of the folders you may have:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Game\Bin
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff\Game\Bin

If you have Sims 3 and HELS, you need to have versions 1.9 and 3.0
If you have Sims 3, WA, and HELS, you need to have 1.9, 2.4, and 3.0
If you aren't sure which patch downloads to get, post your game versions from the skuversion.txt files and someone can point you to those you need.

Ok thanks.. I had to update to version 3.2 otherwise i couldn't play.. Now I did it so it's probably the lowest patch to be enable to play with HEL
