I'm going to get Ambitions today, and I was wondering this:

Since with Ambitions I'll have to have custom content in a new location, would it be a good idea to remove the Resource.cfg files from my TS3 folders like I will with my Mods folders?

I still have plenty of copies of the resource.cfg file in locations I don't remember putting it. My CC runs fine with them there, just make sure you put it in the new Mods folder from your Program Files.

My game has pretty much been borked since Ambitions.
I've had a slew of problems, but most are fixed right now, except this one.
The problem is, I can't play a certain family (even if I move them into another house). I'll try to play the household and the game will zoom out and there are no icons, only the neighborhood overview and I can't do anything except click the x in the corner and quit.

These are my hacks:

Supercomputer
Enable Skintones Hack
Breast Sliders, Ear Sliders, Jonha's sliders, Height Sliders, Face Sliders
Career Hack
Gamer Career

Could anyone help me out here? I'd love to be able to have my game run normal again.

EDIT: Another problem on top of this.
Sometimes when I want to go to another household, the checkmark will go gray when I click it and I'm forced to click the back button. This will effect every single household and I'm forced to reload the entire game (which takes forever to load I should add)

Are those career and other hacks already updated versions for Ambitions?
I'm sorry, I don't have time to search and verify such things for every thread I answer - I have 10 pages (and increasing!) to burrow through. ;)

And..<sigh>...have you tested a new game with no hacks at all to see if a random family in Twinbrook has these same glitches you're experiencing?
All those glitches you mentioned are signs of incompatible CC.

Every hack is updated for Ambitions, except I don't know about a few of the sliders but they worked for WA without having to be updated.
The problem is even if I were to play a hack free game I would have to play a Twinbrook family for a long time to get the glitch to come up since it only comes up after awhile, so I would probably never know if it got fixed or not. And, I deleted my borked hood because I was fed up with it and thought starting a new one would fix it but it didn't, I got the second problem I listed again. So I'm kicking myself for that.

Another issue I have is every time I put CC in my game it takes ages to load so it's hard for me to test one folder at a time.

I don't have a clue what to do now.

After you claimed that every hack you listed above has been updated, I went hunting. ;)

The gamer career page was last updated in Mar 2010. So, my first suggestions still stands - test without CC, ALL CC and on a new game so you do not mess up any of your saves.

I tried to test the game but it's very hard to do because the checkmark doesn't gray out every time I choose a household to play. It happens randomly.

Is it possible in any way that this is a glitch that could be fixed in a patch or is it for sure a hack conflict? Also, could .sims3pack files that I converted with Delphy's Multi-Extracter conflict with Ambitions, because I have a lot of those files.

EDIT: I looked around some forums and it sounds like it's a game bug. :)
