Custom Neighborhoods

If this question has been asked already, I apologize. I did search and did not find it.

I would like to know if anyone has used a custom neighborhood on a Mac. Since we don't have the CAW tool, I was wondering of those worlds that have been uploaded here can be used.

Also, if they can, how would I install?

Yes, you can use custom 'hoods as long as they're compatible with the EPs you have/don't have. You install them just as you would any .sims3pack, through the launcher.
