View Full Version : Dramatic trait not showing up ?

The dramatic trait will show up under Simology(?) but not under the relationships tab. When I choose another sim, and mouse over the dramatic sim, that sim only has 4 traits shown. It doesn't have a 5th one with a question mark. Is anybody else experiencing this problem ?

(My dramatic sim can pretend to faint, but she doesn't slap sims that insult her. I heard that was supposed to happen.)

I may have had the same thing. When playing my sim she has met a few YA/A's who appear to only have four traits. I say 'appear' because I haven't gone and checked them to see if they've actually got five because I didn't really think much of it, but it does sound similar to your situation.

I can't fully remember but this might have been in Twinbrook.

I may have the same thing. My sim has the savvy sculptor or what ever it's called trait and when you hover on her picture in her husband's relationship panel that trait isn't showing up.

well if the sim is not in your household and hovering over his/her trait and having some of them a question mark meaning you still didn't discover that trait.

I've noticed the same thing. NPC sims that my sim interacts with only have 4 traits since Ambitions. Anyone know why?

i'm pretty sure its a bug. It seems like any of the new traits added with ambitions don't show up when you are looking at "other sims" traits. For example, one of my sims is a savy sculptor. I can see that trait on her list of traits on the panel where it says age and stuff, but her daughter shows her as having only 4 traits, with savy sculptor the one that is missing.

Is your sim by any chance a teen :) ?

No, she is a young adult.

I can't fully remember but this might have been in Twinbrook.

Yeah right now I'm playing in Twinbrook. I don't know if this bug also happens in Sunset Valley. :\

One of my Sims is a Savvy Sculptor and his trait shows up.
Dramatic is the only trait that won't show up for me... I think.
But it sounds like we're having the same problem.

The sim is in my household, and there are only 4 traits shown.

Interesting. To the others who are having this problem: what neighbourhood is it occurring in? I normally play a custom 'hood and don't think that I had this problem there.

I have no CC whatsoever, and my SimBot was looking at her own family tree and there was no "Savvy Sculpter trait"

in my Twinbrook, my Sim married Jade Greenwood and her mother, Holly, is missing her Eco Friendly trait. She only appears to have 4 traits in her panel, but if you talk to her you have the option of talking about going green and other Eco Friendly topics. So she has the trait, but it appears to be hidden on her. The Eco Friendly trait does appear on her husband Oliver, he has all 5 traits visible in his panel.

I've seen this with too. Members in the same household can sometimes not see the last trait for someone. I hadn't payed attention to if it was specific traits, but I do believe dramatic was one of them. I'm playing in Twinbrook.

Hmm. I just had Agnes Crumplebottom marry her maid, and he still only had four traits after he joined the household. Thought it was just him, but sounds like it's a more general issue. Added one with a cheat.

Sounds like a bug all right :/

I've seen this in Twinbrook as well. I just assumed that it was because the person chosen hadn't figured out the traits of the other person, and instead of having all those question marks, they just rid the screen of extra clutter. Still, it could also be a bug. This IS EA after all. LOL

I have the same issue. I had my fave lady sim marry Ron Lee the repair guy and he only has 3 traits. I started this family with WA and he was like that, so its not an Ambitions bug. Its a little annoying but not enough to make me stop playing the family, they are my current Fav.

I found even before Ambitions that NPCs have only four traits. Maids/Postmen/Firemen etc.

This isn't unique to Twinbrook or to NPCs. I have the same problem, even with custom made sims. They'll have five traits but new traits won't appear to other sims, even if they're in the same household.

have you tried re-editing their traits? since some of my sims when turning into YA the 4th trait won't show and i just re-edit their traits for it to show. use testingcheats or Twallan's mods.

Same problem with all of the new traits.
Although Eccentric and Dramatic are the only ones I've noticed, the issue kind of bleeds over to the married couple (one being the eccentric girl).
For the life of me, I can't make her find out that HER HUSBAND, who has lived in the household the entire time and is a custom sim, has no sense of humor. I've even done some of the trait-specific interactions, and nothing. >.<"
So she's got a perma-question mark, and he thinks she only has four traits.
Also, the traits I added to their children when they turned into children apparently didn't count - I can't even see them on their simoligy panels. I'm not above cheating to get them back, but I haven't been cheating in this game so I don't know how.
If it matters at all, the girl who dramatic is failing to show for is the sister of the girl who eccentric is failing to show for. I have another dramatic sim in the household who, if I remember correctly, has no problems with this and her sister, who dosen't have an ambitions-specific trait.

The cheat for adding traits is "testingcheatsenabled true" in the console, shift-click the sim and you'll see an option to modify traits.

Eccentric
Eco-Friendly
Savvy Sculptor
Perceptive
Dramatic

These are all new traits with Ambitions, if you have Ambitions, but cannot see these traits in CAS, then you have a serious problem with your game.

Nope can't see a one. Even with testing cheats enabled none show up on the list. Great.

What I noticed is that the Dramatic trait don't have an animation when you select it in the CAS.

I have identified the cause of this particular bug and will fix it in the next AwesomeMod. Those of you who don't use AwesomeMod suck and I hate you, so you're SOL.

:help: having the same problem, none of the new AM traits are showing in CAS or in my game,in either Twinbrook or the EA neighborhoods.Only a single AwesomeMod trait is SUPPOSED to show up. The rest are reserved or incomplete.
