WA and Basements

Right, not entirely sure about this, but I seem to remember someone mentioning that one of the WA patches adds basements without having to buy WA. I was wondering if there was any truth to this. Because I'd... rather not buy WA...

Yes, the patch that came at the same time as WA adds the ability to build basements. Yaay for not having to buy the expansion if all you want is the basement feature! You may still want to consider getting WA, it has a lot of nice content.

I may buy the expansion. But I don't have the money right now to buy an EP if I probably won't ever use the core features. I mainly just wanted basements. Thanks for the help.

I patched to 1.7.9, and had the basement tool. You can get patches here:

I had no patches, at that time, so I used these two:
patch 1.0.631 to 1.6.6 for PC (97MB)
patch 1.6.6 to 1.7.9 (18MB)

The above listed patches are located toward the bottom of the page (on the link supplied above).
