I cannot Grill any fish

If this is the wrong place, I read the rules and it seems to be. Now, one of my sims just moved into a new neighborhood, bought a fridge, grill, and i built a pond. There is no CC, I followed the FAQ, it didn't work. When I click on the grill/Fridge to Grill, it only lets me grill Hot Dogs. My sim has no Cooking Skill, and I read you could make fish with 0 Skill. Can you help me?

Can't you only grill fish for lunch or dinner? At what time of the Sim day are you trying?

Do you have a counter? Your sim needs one to prepare the fish. And sims without cooking skills can only grill brass. If your sim caught catfish, two or three skill points are needed to cook it.
