Marriage?

Im having heaps of trouble getting my sim married. I don't know if she is just too good looking for all the ugly sims (lol, there are some really horrible looking ones!) or what.. is anyone else having these problems??

If your playing with EA's default Story Progression, just give it a couple of generations and they will all look the same...

Yea.. Maxis is lazy. I suggest just downloading a smexy dude from here or the exchange or something, and placing him in your 'hood.

Or make your own? Its not THAT difficult to make a good looking guy on TS3, or at least one who if entered into a beauty contest with the Maxis Sims would win hands down ;)

Well im actually wanting her now to marry an ugly guy and see how many generations it takes to breed the ugly out but im not getting the social interactions for them to get married.. grr.

Maybe your Sim has grown sentient and decided she hates the guy you're trying to hook her up with? xD

But srsly, just keep spamming romantic interactions with no friendly/mean/funny mixed in. It should appear. Unless you have some sort of mod that might cause problems...

Romantic Interactions, they must have had a first kiss and (I think) be going steady first. It will appear when "SimA thinks SimB is being simply irrisistable"

You need to cycle through the "Romantic Interactions" pie menu for at least eight interactions before you get the "confess Attraction" interaction. After that you can "first kiss" then "Propose go steady", "Propose marriage" and then either throw a wedding party or "have private ceremony". If you drop out of the RI pie for a friendly action or anything else, it resets back to the start. You have to stay in that pie for a long time before they will "get in the mood". If this still isn't happening for you, make sure you don't have a mod that affects romantic interactions.

All sorted now. I gave up on the guy I was trying to get her married to (he was gorgeous!) and she's married to someone thats ok looking lol. Thanks anyways!

You guys arent into making your own sims eh? It takes a while to 'really' make a good one but once you see them walking around in town its very satisfying
