I am doing a remake of Castle DragonKin with out the EA Store content. To do it, I am using a lot of custom content from other creators who do not want that content included with the upload of a lot. I will be directing people to download the content from the creators' sites. But I have done recolors to make everything match. How do I include the re-color information with the lot? My idea was to package the patterns used from CAST with instructions on what objects to apply them to. Will that work? Is there an easier way to do it?

Thank you for your time. :lovestruc

The recolors of EA/Custom objects are not allowed as an upload. But recoloring those objects with either EA or custom patterns should show up fine if the downloader has both the custom meshes/patterns in their download folder prior to installing the lot.

If your making a custom pattern using CAP or Pattern Packager, I would recommend you upload those separately from the lot. All cc made by you and included in a lot must follow the same guidelines as if it were not in a lot, this does add a bit of delay in the moderating process. If installed as a sims3pack then those custom patterns will include in the lot. If you are creating a custom "recolor" of an EA pattern then the code bits for that will package with the lot.
