Do you want to make both yourself and your Sims suffer? Then this is for you!
This challenge is not meant to be a generation challenge- your household will eventually die out. The question is, how long will they last, stranded on a deserted island with almost nothing?
Objective: to keep all three Sims alive as long as possible and as happy as possible.
Step 1- Bulldoze EVERYTHING, evicting everyone!
Step 2 or 3- BUILD a house-one house only. Deserted islands do not have pre-made homes.
*The house can only have the bare essentials- beds, a table with chairs, refrigerator, counter-top, stove, toilet, shower, walls, floors, doors, windows and sink.
*This house must not have anything electric, other than the refrigerator (and stove?). This includes lights. Your house can have as many windows as you want.
Note- this house MUST be a starter house if your active household is to live in it.
Step 3 or 2- Create a family, but not just any family:
*Two adults of the same sex (can be roomies, siblings, or spouses)- the idea is that no new Sims are made.
*One kid that is a child- either gender.
There are no restrictions on appearance.
Traits-
At least one adult Sims must hate the outdoors
No Sim shall have the unlucky or loser trait, as that would prevent them from dying from causes other than old age.
Other than that, go at it.
Step 4- Move household into lot.
Step 5-turn off story progression (no one should randomly move in to a deserted island). Also, turn on aging. Use any lifespan you want.
Step 6- Have fun! Attempt to keep your Sims alive and happy while following the below rules:
1. After the initial house, nothing can be purchased.
2. All food must be grown and/or caught.
3. Decline all opportunities that pop up.
4. Do not employ your Sims- if you followed the directions properly, employing Sims should be impossible, as all the places of employment would have been bulldosed. Funds shall be raised by selling fish and/or items collected.
5. No new Sims, houses, or community places should be created.
:!: Exception: if your neighborhood has no fishable water, you may add a pond, lake, or river.
6. No cheats may be used to increase happiness, needs, or lifetime rewards.
7. Speaking of lifetime rewards, should you actually acquire some, you may not spend them.
8. Even in the case of a fire, do not use the phone- there's not really a signal where your Sims live.
9. When a Sims dies, their ghost must stay on the lot.
The game ends when all three of your Sims have died. There is no real way to "win" the challenge, expect by somehow legally acquiring Ambrosia and making all of your Sims immortal.
Points:
+10 points for moving onto the island.
+10 points for every 30 days that no Sims die.
+5 points for every day that all three of your Sims has at least a "Happy" mood.
+20 points for every skill mastered.
-20 points for any non-child Sims that dies
-30 points for the child dying before aging to be a teenager
-30 points for every item bought.
-5 points for every day that any of the Sims's moods stays below "Fair" for more than 6 hours.
-10 points for every time that a phone is used.
Sorry if this is a little picky- I'm new at these things.
Post pictures/videos and let us see how your Sims are faring!
