Hey.

For some reason, this bug appeared as I was building a house. The big white/black areas on top of the roof. If you pan around the house, it disapeares. Only visabled from some angles...

When they appeared, I had just been working with "constrainFloorElevation false/true" and "moveobjects on/off". I had also just messed about with basements...

I tried to sort the problem out using "constrainFloorElevation false/true" on top of the bugs but that didnīt help.
I have restarted the game, didnīt help. Restarted computor, didnīt help. I "shared" the house and put it down on another lot and the problem just followed with the house....

Any ideas?

Any help would be much appriciated as i spent about 10 hours on this. Dont know if I have the energi to do it all over again...

Thanks!

This is a bug that's been around for a while, and seems to be related to the ceiling tiles. Try clicking them with the sledgehammer; if that doesn't work you could try placing floor tiles on the affected squares and then removing them. This seems to clear up the problem but it can be tricky- you may have to temporarily place pillars or walls to be able to place floor tiles if there is no grid.

Wow, you are the man! You have no idea what a relief this is since your suggestion worked, thanks a thousand times m8. You saved me about 5 hours of work (since my last saved copy)...

You are right, I had used ceiling tiles. Since this house is ment to be uploaded do you think I should get rid of them as they might cause the same problem in the future??

BTW, sledgehammer directly on them worked...

Thanks again

Once you place a ceiling tile, the ceiling somehow changes- you can see this if you angle the camera to view the ceiling in one of the original Sunset lots, and then click the floor tool and hover over the ceiling with the cursor. The ceiling changes from dull yellow to bright white, and the ceiling corruption can even occur then, before you click a ceiling tile. Holding shift whilst clicking to cover a ceiling area seems to exacerbate the problem.

So I don't think that you can actually remove ceilings- even if you remove the texture, the ceiling is changed. What I would suggest to do is to package the lot, then install it in a test world and check the ceilings then- as I've noticed that previously correct ceilings can sometimes corrupt when packaged.
