Is there others way to update my game? :(

Hi, I had problem about the updates for Sims 3. My computer can't detect the version of my Sims 3. Anything can fix that? :(

Additional notes:
I recopy my Sims 3 to this computer. Because my backup files are all packed together with my all Sims 3 folder in one (Included save file and Sims 3 directory). I lost my DVD installation. I only can use the backup to play my Sims 3. Can anyone fix this without a reinstall? I only hope to play with updated version. :(

You lost the DVD installation or lost the DVD disc? If you lost the disc and registered with EA, have you contacted them for a replacement or digital download? If you registered the game this will normally be available with EADM, providing you have it installed. If none of that works or you didn't register, there wont be much help since you dont have the required elements to play the game legally.
