Sim Wont Age Up Poperly

Sorry if this has been answered, I must fail at search because I have been looking all over and using the search feature and saw nothing please don't shoot.

Also sorry it's a bit of a long explanation.

I age up 3 sims in my active family just fine like I always do. One was a teen going to young adult, he has a girl friend and I wanted to age her up. I have been able to age up visiting sims before, but this time it did not work. At the time I had the awesome mod installed and made the girl part of the family and tried again to get her to age using the cake, but now being part of the active family. It didn't work she would never age even after about 5 sim hours of standing in front of the cake yelling and clapping. I tried to force the age transition by shift+clicking and triggering the age transition from there. Her body morphed into the young adult body, but she was still labeled as a teen and her Young adult boyfriend could only have interactions with her like he would for a teen.
I exited the game with out saving and next time upon loading I changed the active household to be her house and tried to have her birthday like that. She will not age when using the cake and just stands there for hours and hours. Again when I shift+clicked to trigger the age transition her body will change to a Young Adult's body, but she stays labeled as a teen.
I exited again with out saving. Took out the awesome mod (the only hack I have in my game at all) and loaded the game again, but it's the same. Actually while she was standing at her cake after blowing out the candles her little brother aged up to be a teen on his own. I thought maybe it was something wrong with the teens in this house so I tried to age one of her triplet teen sisters to test and that one aged up just fine and normal. Used the cake and after the usual time turned to a Young Adult and is labeled as a young adult.

My game is up to date, patched it earlier today and as of now there are no more hacks either. What else could this be. Other sims are still aging just fine, but this one refuses.

The best bet would be to post on Pescado's Awesomemod forum; as Awesome is the only mod you have then it could be a glitch related to this.

But I removed the awesome mod and the problem is still happening. I have even tested with taking out all my custom content, even though I had other sims age up fine with what I had in the game and still certain sims are refusing to age up or are not doing it properly as i described before.


Since first asking and explaining all i had done to trouble shoot this on my own (taking out hacks and custom content) I have since deleted this family and placed a new copy. I still get the same problem. One of the sisters and the brother can age up, but two of the sisters can not. They stand at the cake for hours and hours after blowing out the candles. I have to end up reseting them because the game says I can't edit town while a birthday is taking place.. even though the sim could have been standing there for 10 sim hours with no change.

My game is now clean, and I always remove the caches before each time I play. Could having the awesome mod in there before still effect my game even though i have removed it?

Buggy aging is buggy. The safe thing to do is to just delete the sim in question to prevent further borkage. I think twallan's MasterController has a feature to completely wipe out sims. It could be a symptom for major borkage anyway, though.
