View Full Version : Aging will not work- what just happened?

After installing some harmless (clothes off MTS) custom content, I tried going into the game and playing. All went fine until it was a teenager's time to age up and, after HOURS of standing there clapping she snapped out of it and her clothes changed to an adult's- but she was still a teen with 0 days left until aging. I left her another few days to see what would happen and nothing did- while other Sims would progress in age properly. However when it was their turn to age up = exact same problem. Only Elders would die of old age. I then attempted to use a birthday cake or Trigger Age Transition- loads of clapping and then nothing. While their clothes (not body) would change to the correct age, everything else, interactions and all, would not. What I did next was open a fresh new neighborhood, make a household w/ Sims of all ages and
1) Delete that CC, try aging everyone up- NO RESULTS
2) Delete all of my CC- try aging everyone up- NO RESULTS
3) Clear cache files- try aging everyone up-

Well, at Step 3, young adults to adults to elders to death would work perfectly fine, but nothing else would. :!:

so, what have I done wrong (there's nothing left I can do to fix it) and what can I do? :help:

Oh, and I have no mods, awesomemod or otherwise- I saw someone on the forum with the same problem, but she did have awesomemod.

Have you tried this on a saved game as well as a new game? You are sure that all Custom Content is removed? Nothing left under My Documents or under the old Program Files locations? Have you followed the guide above and renamed your User Files and tried with a new game to see if it occurs there too?

I've tried everything except the user files- I'll do that and see if it works.
