Hi,
I'm having the worst Christmas ever I’m trying to enjoy time with my family but all I can think about are my sim families.
Problem.....I have a great deal of custom content (7.88GB), it has to be said that most of it, is just hair, clothing, floors, walls etc. Recently, however I've been on a bit of a object binge and I've been downloading quite a bit from relatively safe sites holy simoly, adele, gaden breeze,bugsy retreat...I did have a few things from AroundtheSims2 but I had to get rid of them because they proved to be problematic instantaneously.
Anyway...last night... christmas eve, I'd been playing for just 6 hours decorating a home that a sim family had just moved into. I was decorating the kitchen using OMSP's for the counters and boolprop snapobjectstogrid false to move small objects around. After 3 hours decorating the game crashed. This wasn’t anything new after extended game play I now expect it to crash. So I exited the window and restarted the game straightaway. The loading time took ages but when my neighbourhood had loaded all the families were missing. After a silent freak out I exited the game without saving and decided to restart my laptop completely and reload the neighbourhood properly. When the game loaded for the second time the Sims were back in the neighbourhood BUT ALL THE MEMORIES, FAMILIE TREES, and ASPIRATIONS AND THE EXTRA WANTS FROM UNIVERSITY WERE ALL GONE.
So now all I have are individual Sims with NO HISTORY and after 5/6 generations of Sims families hours, NO YEARS OF GAMEPLAY, STORY BUILDING ETC....I'VE LOST IT ALL!!!!! I am in serious distress as in I couldn't even sleep last night I really need someone to tell me how to fix this please I am begging someone anyone to just help me.
PS I have removed all my custom content in the downloads folder but that has not made a difference the family trees and memories etc have not returned. I’ve also tried to use the sims2pack clean installer and mts2 organiser by delphy to find hacked objects....but I don’t know what to do with these because removing the download folder didn't make a difference. Also I should mention it just this specific neighbourhood the other pre made neighbourhoods are not experiencing any of these problems.
