View Full Version : Can't save a lot with graves on it to the bin?

The way I've been building my lots for my custom world is that I make the lot, make the basis for the building in Edit in Game, then I export the lot, take it into a save I have especially for building, work on it (tomb passages, routing etc), package and take it back into CAW in Edit in Game.

This is how I decided to make a Graveyard: I took it into my main game, killed a bunch of sims then placed their graves on the graveyard.

However, when I saved the lot to the bin, the graves were immediately deleted. Does this mean I can't populate my graveyard? I just want named graves and ghosts, like the graveyards that come with Sunset Valley etc... :|

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Having graves on a lot means that you have a populated world, as dead sims are still sims! CAW currently does not directly support sim import.

Kiwi_tea has done a tutorial for world population, but you cannot import dead sims using this method:

Kiwi_tea is also looking into xml import of sims which does allow dead sim import:

This is still experimental at the moment, seemingly.

The easiest way to add sims to a world currently is to make your world (with empty graveyard), and when it is finished import it into the game and add sims and graves there. Then you can share your save along with the world file.

Are there no purely deco graves available yet?

There are the grave stones that are in buydebug, which you can also mourn (and use as triggers/ switches for tombs). But you don't seem to be able to assign a name to those yet, so they are tagged as 'remains'.

Ah, all right. Thank you, simsample. (:
