View Full Version : placing a house messes up the terrain level

Hi all,
i'm trying to place this house on a lot in bridgeport.
in the only 60x60 lot i found on the island that has house but no buildings and bars.

when i place it. the terrain level gets all messed up and the house is inaccessible.

what do i need to do.

The house you are trying to place is on a flat lot, the lot in Bridgeport you are attempting to place it on is NOT. In fact, there doesn't really seem to be a level spot on that lot, so attempting to place this or any other house that was built on a flat lot, simply wont work. I did test in Sunset Valley with the available 60x60 lot there without issues.

is there a way to edit the world to get a flat lot. or should i just download a different house?

i want to play bridgeport. i got sick of sunsetvalley.

While editing the entire world is possible (see the CAW forum) it's a bit complicated just to place a lot, you could attempt to flatten the lot but that wouldn't probably work well either since the outer squares of the lot will slope to meet the surrounding area, perhaps find another area to place the lot or just build one yourself. As mentioned earlier, attempting to place a flat house/lot on a unlevel lot generally doesn't work well.
