Are you dying to play the sims but can't at the moment?? Well I am! Tell us all why you're so anxious to play the sims and why you can't at the moment.

I've moved recently and wasn't able to take my games with me :faceslap: so...
I am waiting for my games to be sent to me, I have all the EPs and SPs for sims 2 :) And I think i'll stick with it. I am dying to make Legacy families again and build my own neighbourhoods and everything to do with families in the sims!

I don't quite know all the specifics of the sim families i'll make but I do know the general outline :) I'll start the legacy with a simply couple with significant personalities, the female being very neat and shy but a sim who wants to help people ((Kind of like myself)) and the male will be confident and strong within himself and will be the bacon bringer :) Making all the money. They'll have about 2 or 3 kids depending on their wants and stuff :P But i'll continue the legacy from there and i'll update what happens and everything in the "What's happening in your sims game right now?" thread and maybe the Sim Journal..

So that's what I intend to do when I am able to play in a few days.

How bout you?

I am, but with school, I can't because I need to bring my grades up. I'm quite addicted, so it's pretty hard!

I want to play but I don't want to strain my new laptop. So I am waiting to move and get a desktop so I can play on that. Its better to be at a desk and play. Plus I have class this semester and two of them are a month course online! So I am waiting until classes are over too but I am taking summer classes also!

Same here! Classes and homework are taking up way too much of my time.

Althoug actually, relating everything to my Sims game is really helping me learn stuff in my communication class. go figure!

No classes for me, but my days of trying to keep families caught up with each other ended when TS3 was released :D

I really want to right now - but seeing as I called in 'sick' to classes today in order to finish up the mountain of work I couldn't get to this weekend... I should get off the web and go finish it.

Yeah, my urge to play TS2 is usually directly proportional to the amount of work that needs to be done.

I'm in college and I now never play TS2 during semesters. I always end up playing the sims for hours straight as I can never limit myself to 'just an hour', so I find it best to avoid it and not play at all. Otherwise I'd never get any of my work done!

I have to buy a new computer I keep getting the death of blue screen and I do not want to spent another cent on this bloody PC. I want a super Computer I am looking to spend around $1000 or close to it. So since my computer have turn into a piece of crap I CAN NOT play my sims and I am about to go "Crazy Mad" I am so happy I did back up my game on an outer Harddrive so when I start again I will not have to start from zero. Until then I am going crazy for my Sims 2 game.

I know how you guys feel about needing a better computer and not being able to play because of study aswell. Last time I played my computer's motherboard burnt out and i was so mad lol... I had to wait a few months before I could get another computer and now i'm on a laptop that's 1.6ghz quad processors, 1TB Hardrive and a good graphics card.. I'm sure my laptop will run it as I play WoW also (It's getting a bit boring now). Just waiting for my games to be sent. I'm also just starting homeschooling so I will have to be studying. I'm going to use the sims as my relaxation :D Huzzah for excuses!! I just hope I won't get carried away and play for hours on end when I need to work... lol

Goodluck guys :)

Lately I've lost that "I MUST PLAY RIGHT NOW!!" urge. I haven't played TS2 for a little over a week now, and I don't know if I'll play anytime soon. I start my second semester tomorrow, and I have lots of packing and stuff to do this month because we're moving to a new house at the beginning of March so... I think I'll wait till I move into the new house and get everything settled before I play again.

I want to play Sims but I have to leave for my driving class in half an hour so I'd just get into the playing groove when I'd have to shut it down. T.T

We're having a huge winter storm here, and in Ohio we're supposed to get an ice storm. Which could mean power outage.

Which means--no Sims!

If it's anything like the ice storm we had in 2004...eep!

Here in Australia we've had plenty of weather problems lol. In September, Queensland got hit by major flooding in some areas.. and then again in January it was terrible.. 75% of the state was declared a disaster zone, 2story houses went under water and lots more horrible things happened. There was also a bit of flooding in Victoria... and now being the start of Feb.. There's Cyclone Yasi coming to hit QLD again.. Catagory 5 and it's going to cause atleast 1metre of flooding.
Wow the weather sure doesn't seem to like Queensland.

Ahhh I am so mad. My games were supposed to come today but since there's so many of them ((All the EPs and SPs aswell as the base game)) ... they had to be sent in a box and that takes more than the normal time... now I have to wait until Monday cause it's friggen Friday... I am ready to cry :( Yes that's how much I want to play... lol I haven't played in months and I don't really have anything to pass my time.

Oh, c'mon, there's always something to do. Read. Do housework. Go ahead and burn the next dish you need to learn so you won't do it when you have the headmaster over. Call up a friend you haven't seen in a long time. Improve your skills or study Lifelong Happiness, Anger Management, Fire Safety, etc. Do some yoga. Gather a casual group and go on an outing to a community lot...

So my BF managed to borrow the base game from a friend for me, and his sister had a few expansion packs. So i've been playing a little bit but i'm still waiting for MY games to come on Monday so I can add MY EPs and SPs :) Can't wait.

I don't have any of my Sims 2 games at the moment, as I gave them all away in 2009, as I wanted to concentrate on studies and went through most of 2009 without my own computer. Big mistake. Now that I've graduated, I've got a hankering for The Sims 2 once again! Thankfully I found a listing on TradeMe (NZ's runty equivalent of Ebay) that had seven out of the eight expansion packs, one fun pack, and the base game. Sweet! Here's hoping I get it pretty soon...

I have not been able to play since August of last year, so yeah I'm dying to play. I've moved across country and while my new residence was supposed to be finished around the end of September last year it's now February and I'm still in limbo. All my personal belongings are still packed away, I'm living out of a suitcase wearing the same 2 weeks worth of clothes (which I will be burning as soon as I do get moved in) and worst of all my lovely computer is also packed. I have to use an old incredibly slow laptop that I should have gotten rid of years ago. I suppose some would say that not being able to play my Sims 2 game is the least of my problems but strangely enough it's what I miss most, well that and my personal privacy. Did I mention that I'm having to temporarily live with family members while I wait for my new home to be finished?

I now know what the ninth circle of hell really is.

The urge comes and goes. Since i never get past generation 1 of any of the premade families before rebooting the entire neighborhood playing isnt really a main urge. But after starting my own personal use skinset i kind of want to hurry up and finish so i can see how they look in game. I'd wait a bit longer and retexture the mountains of hairs i have but that would be months of work between all that and managing 2 developing accounts on IMVU.

Well, my computer died a month ago, all I have left is an old netbook and an ancient... something I didn't use in 10 years. :( I'd probably buy a new computer in a couple months, but I doubt I would have much time to play.
