suddenly its dark.. boom!! comet!!

i just want to share my very first experience seeing a comet fall in the sky in sims 3.. i was so happy to experience this.. hahaha.. at first i was like.. wtf is this popup saying its getting dark etc.. and then boom.. it hit the city hall, one big comet.. and the people there was shocked and scared.. hahhaha

too bad i did not took a pic when the comet fell, since i was not aware about it.. but i took some pix after it hit the city hall.. hehe

I got that too, when my sim was in Egypt. Wouldn't have known what it was all about, if I hadn't read about on this forum. Good thing I did, or who knows what would have happened to poor whatshisname.

Oh, I want a comet too. I've never had one in my game and I've been playing it for ages now. Does something make it more likely? Like using the telescope?

@varpunen - i dont have a telescope at home.. so i think it wouldn't matter if you use it or not.. it just happened like out of no where.. my sim just went to the city hall because she purchased a property and then when she went out while talking to her friend on phone then a popup pop.. hehehe.. but before that i get a random music playing sims 3.. weird though..

How did that comet land in between the column and the door? How unlikely XD

From what I've read it's a lot easier to have comet fall on your sim while they're using the telescope, but it can happen randomly while your sim is outside or in a rabbit hole. It's never happened in my game except when I used one of Twallan's mods to summon a comet on command. :jest:

It happened in my game. I had Sims chatting outside the house and a wide round shadow appeared over them and it kept getting larger but I didn't know that comets could fall like that so I didn't think anything of it, actually I thought it was a graphic glitch.

Then the comet fell down right where they were standing. My sims were all "burnt" like when they try to fix an electrical device and the house caught on fire. There were pieces of the comet everywhere on the lot. I wish I had taken a picture.
