I see a lot of people creating sims based on celebrities, animes, cartoon characters, and so on. A lot of them possess a really good resemblance of whoever it is that their sims are based on. I want to start learning about face meshing. Where do I start with this?
I don't know what to look for in tutorials, I'm not even sure if I'm using the right term. I don't mean body meshing - I want to start with just the head and face. Which tutorials do I need to read? What programs will I need to download? I'm already familiar with the most basic stuff, but not this one.

Is this the only method? Will this enable me to make the same type of sims as Subaxi (http://mysims3blog.blogspot.com/2009/11/bunch-of-things-by-subaxi.html) and LemonLeaf (http://blog.sina.com.cn/lemonleafs)'s creations?

All there is to making sims is sculpting their faces nicely and choosing the right custom content for them. At least half of why those sims look the way they do is because of the custom content chosen for them - you'll need to download that separately, but that tutorial will help you get a nice looking face as a base that will compliment the custom content you choose for them.

Thank you. I think I have a better understanding of it now.
But say I wanted to create those 'custom face contents' myself, which facial features are modifiable separately?
What are those 'custom content' exactly? The eyes, the nose, ears? What others tuts will I need to read for them?
Sorry If I ask a lot of questions, I'm just trying to seize the hang of everything.
