Can someone help with my hair meshing problem?

Okay, so I wanted to make a custom hair style based on the low-ponytail maxis original. When I tried to link the 3DID files, there where like seven of them and every time I tried, a message would appear saying something like: 'Could not use this package. Zero or multiple CRES or SHPE resources were found.'

Are you using the linking tool when you get this message?

yes, I am. I even looked through some tutorials about meshing and looked online, but did not find an answer to what's going on.

Are you sure you are linking the right files? You're not supposed to link ALL the 3DIR files, only the ones that correspond with the age and gender your hair is for. You can tell what ones you need by matching up the Instance numbers for the 3DIR files with the Property Set Instance numbers. It's sort of almost the exactly same process as in accessory meshing.

But be careful because the same age group will not always have the same instance number in every mesh. You have to keep your eyes peeled.

Update: It worked! Yay! ...Now I need to figure out how to make a braid out of this thing... :blink:
