Prelude to Plague - Bug? Mod glitch?

I've been doing the Prelude to Plague quest and today installed the stuff for mods (in the right spots, they work...I know there's an inherent danger they can bork your game so I'm not grr or anything), but anyway. It's the quest where your doctor and merchant work together to cure this plague.

I've done everything, the last thing to do was have my doctor add the anti-viral antidote to the well. She did it...and nothing! I've got 4 people lying around town with no way to get up, can't get any reagent infected blood from Baker Whateverhernameis, and while a sickly peasant moaning in my little garden isn't per se a bad addition to the flowers...it would be nice to get the points for this quest so I can...dooo something.

Do I have to give up the quest? Has anyone else had this happen, do I have to wait for some elapsed time period...anything? I tried interacting with the fallen people, dragging medicated water to their bodies to give it, nada.

Are you sure you added the cure to the well correctly? I know I messed up the first time I did that quest by choosing "medicate the well" instead of the option that was specifically for the quest.

Hmmm. I think I did choose "medicate". Farkle chips. Well that's annoying.

Yeah, I was wondering why I still had the task to do afterwards. Then I quit without saving and tried it again. I saw that there was an actual option to add the cure, instead of doing the medicate. I must have missed seeing it the first time.

Thanks...I saved mine, unfortunately. ;-) I'm gonna have to give it up and pray they aren't all still lying around next quest.
