Okay, so I finally decided to make a dog toy (new mesh.) so I cloned the chewinator, made my mesh, came to the texture file, and found only the shadow alpha texture. So, I reset the layout. nothing. reinstalled the whole SimPE. Nothing. What's goen on? :help:

The chewinator maybe is either a repository object (uses a texture from another game item) or it has only a txmt not a texture.

You can check in the GMND - if you find a block called tsMaterialsMeshName then a part of it is definitely repository.

Thanks, but in the GMDC there is no material whatever whatever. There is just the ground shadow mesh and the surface. And, I'm pretty sure there always used to be a texture image for the bone because I've recoloured and made new dog toy meshes before. WHY WON'T IT JUST COME BACK!? :faceslap:

Don't tick the 'Pull only default colour' box when cloning. I don't know why but SimPE did the same when I cloned it with that box ticked. You'll get a few built-in recolours without it ticked, but that's not a problem.

*Actually it's worse than that. SimPE did not create the scenegraph chain correctly for me even with that box unticked. It did not pull the default colour and did not update the scenegraph file name parts. You would have to fix that (SHPE, MMAT, TMXT, TXTR).

Thanks! I'll try recloning. :)

Yess! Thankyou! Pull only default colour was ticked, so I unticked it, and got a load of colours, but thats okay, it will remind me to make more recolours when creating. Thankyou So MUCH! :bunny:

Yea, answered later by Gwenke - I usually just select defaults when in SIMPE.

But indeed, I told you to look in the GMND, not the GMDC, as there would be no reference to the tsMaterialsMeshName in the GMDC......

Glad you could get it fixed.

JackJess, it's not fixed yet. I can't see from the screenshot but my version did not have a default colour. See the second part of my post above.

*Gasps* AW! You're right... Poo. @Leester: I'm so sorry, I'll look in the GMND right NOW.
@Gwenke: (Sorry for the dumbness...) I really have no idea how to fix it... Know any tutorials?
