I'm hoping this is just a simple glitch that can be fixed easily, but I can't work it out myself. I have all expansion packs and No custom content except for Cars from Fresh Prince, I just built a house, and I currently have 2 Sims living in it, The guy seems to do everything normally, he can climb the stairs, use the doors, and generally does what he is supposed to do. His wife has some issues, Initially she was unable to climb the stairs to the second level, After deleting a few things, she managed to make her way to the bedroom for the night. The next morning she got up, fell through the floor, back to ground level, and proceeded to climb the stairs to make the bed, when she went to make the other side, she fell through the floor again, climbed all the stairs, and made the bed. I cant work out what has gone wrong, as the guy in the house is able to make the bed with no issues whatsoever. Whenever the female is directed to do something, she falls through the floor, and then climbs the stairs as if she was always at ground level. The house also does not move up levels when you cycle through the sims with the space bar, it is always downstairs for her, but moves around for him.

Has anyone ever come across this before?
Is there an easy fix, because I took a long time building this house, and I have no intention of bulldozing it.
I haven't tried moving her out and back in yet, does anyone think that might work?

ANY help at all will be appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried resetting her? Type into the cheat box resetsim Firstname Lastname

If it's just the one female try whiterider's suggestion. If all of your sims do that in said house, see this post: http://crinrict-help.blogspot.com/2011/03/bug-sim-sinks-into-ground.html

Thank you!!!
All fixed, resetting her worked, I didn't even know that trick existed.

Just to let you know, when I had this problem, it was because I'd moved my sim using the moveobjects on cheat. Apparently in Sims 3 it isn't good to move sims as if they were objects :). If you avoid doing that again in future - or use the resetsim cheat afterwards - this shouldn't happen again.

I am glad resetsim worked for you. I was going to suggest there might be "hidden wall/hole" in the house as I experienced last night. I kept having problem placing stair in this particular spot in the basement. I kept complaining there is a wall blocking it, so I ended up building a wall there, then delete the wall to tell the game the wall there is deleted. It fixed the problem. So if this was the case, you need to rebuild the locations that your sims keep falling through, even it looks obvious by the eyes that everything is fine.
