Can't Get Graphics Right

I have tried over and over again to get the graphics off this pic:

onto the orange toddler tee by fanseelamb and keep getting blurry results.

First try I got this:

when I used the magic wand to scoop up just the trendkill snake logo section and it loses a lot of the graphic since it seems to have a bunch of orange in it on its own.

Now, I've tried turning all but the graphic in the orginal pic black, then captured the logo and I get this:

Better, but still blurred.

What can I do to get a better copy of the logo or is this as good as it'll get?
The oranges do not match so I can't just copy and paste from around the logo.

When you place the logo on the shirt regulally is it extreamly small and you have to stretch it? If so, it will always come out blurry. Now if you do do it like this and want it to come out pretty sharp looking you could fill where the color and lines are missing.

Actually, the graphic is like 4 times the size of the shirt so I have to shrink it down to size.
Any other helpful hints out there?
