I just recently got S3 and have been playing it for the past several days. I'm well versed in Sims (have every game for 1 and 2), so this is kinda strange for me. Not only have I been buggering around with random crashes (new video card is on its way!) but my character I created has the hots for the male maid and has the bar maxed out for romantic interest and she invites him over, woohoo's, kisses etc etc, he's got the heart next to his pic etc etc... but there's never a 'ask to move in' or whatever they do next in the progression... ask to date? go steady?? LOL! Should I go have the hots for someone else that isn't an NPC?? I need advice. I don't want to waste my time on this maid dude if he isn't down with marriage and a baby lol! thanks so much for any advice or help!

If you are really wanting him in your family you can always use "testingcheatsenabled true" then shift and click on the maid. The option to add him to your active family should be there. Also if you don't like his personality traits you can always shift click and modify traits.. :) Hope this helps

I don't think it's because he's an NPC. My last play through, my Sims character married the repair man. It was actually pretty easy. As far as moving in is concerned: I don't think that will show up in the romance interaction sub-menu. I think that shows up in the friendly sub-menu, so if you haven't looked there before, check again. If you want to marry him, there should be a propose interaction and then a marry interaction and that will automatically cause him to move in with you.
