I am beginning to tamper with existing WA lots.

Namely, I follow this Sims 3 Tomb Creation Guide (http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/worldadventures/tombbuilding.php), among few others.

In this guide, it offers a basic torch > hidden door link that using torch to reveal the hidden door. I tried working on them with some success. But what I wonder is, according to the tutorial in above link, how does the torch know which door/stair to link to? Assuming I have more than 1 door around the area. I was hoping for some kind of cursor that allows us to draw/drag a line from trigger to target, but I see none.

The tutorials seem to be very ambiguous, and the menu names on TS3 items are also very ambiguous. Any input will be helpful.

Side question: how do we reset a tomb? I don't mean Twallan's mod resetlot (which doesn't help tomb), I mean after each sim did his way with the tomb, can we still reset it: hide all the rooms again, close the trapped down, refill the rubbles that they broke through to get to switches, etc...

Objects are linked by the order in which you modify them. So, in that tut, the torch knew which door to link to, because that was the next object you chose "link activated behaviors" on. The link is displayed graphically when you hover.

As for resetting a tomb, there is no automatic way to do it. You can make a self-resetting tomb though by constructing it in such a way that everything gets reset simply by the sim progressing through it. For instance, in the case of a hidden door, place an invisible plate on the other side, so that after the sim discovers and goes through the door, they have to walk over the plate, which re-hides the door. Or alternatively place a plate or series of plates right in front of the exit that resets each object in the tomb, so that everything is reset when the sim leaves.

That doesn't work for all objects, though. Pushable statues and rubble piles, in particular, simply CAN'T be reset. So if you want to build a fully resettable tomb, don't use those.

Yeah, tombs in general are not meant to be reset fully. There are things you can do to allow further sims to re-explore a bit, like treasure points that respawn. But that's why it's recommended that you simply save your tomb lot to your library, and then you can place the fresh tomb back into your world as many times as you want.
