Windows 7 help cc wont show up ig..

Hi, i seem to be having trouble with the cc for windows 7 it wont show up in game.. I have put everything in the right place i think anyways..

Everything seems to be it's place, but do you have anything else than those mods in Packages folder? Those mods won't work with your current game version so you need to patch your game.

Hi gelis, yes i have more,
this is all of them c below, not sure if any of them conflict with it, cuz i have even tried just useing the nointro package alone and even the F-P2009BugattiVeyron01.package, and they dont work and i just finished updating the patches.

Please move all those .package files someplace safe and test with only the nointro package until we're able to get this working.

You are a couple of patch levels behind and may want to address that, but that shouldn't prevent nointro from working. Please try capitalizing the R on your Resource.cfg file.

Hey mangaroo, i have already updated it, and tried useing only the nointro package, and i capped the R and still no luck.

Ok just tried something.. the same file i cant use as a package file, works as a sims3pack..

Have you tried to delete your Cache files in the sims 3 - folder and then tested again if the nointro works?

Yea i have done that, still no luck... this windows 7 really sucks, if i still had xp i would not have this trouble..

I don't think it has anything to do with Windows 7. TS3 and its CC not showing up would behave the same whether you have Xp, Vista, or Windows 7. Granted the path to My Documents is different, so just keep note of that.

I am looking through your CC. There are not a whole lot of CC you have. Anach's mods are mostly scripts and tuning mods, not very visible. You have some eye lashes, some hair, some sliders. Sliders are rather hidden (I think Johna's sliders are at the Mouth slider section). And how old are those hairs? I have a few hairs that won't bother to show up, because they were made very early in the game (in 2009) that is no longer compatible with current game.

But to be thorough, can you show your full path to your mod folder?

Assuming you are playing with the latest patch, this path should look correct.

So when things get too complicated, use "baby steps":

- Why don't you rename that "Packages" folder into "Packages.old" (or anything, as long as it is not "Packages").

- Create a brand new folder, name it "Packages"

- Download No Intro (http://sims3.modthesims.info/download.php?t=342922) from this link, put it in this "Packages" folder. Please get a fresh download, because I know that one works.

- Clear all *.package files under your C:\Users\Mimi\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ folder. Those are your temporary cache files.

What this does:

- You just hid all your mods from TS3 by changing Packages folder name.

- You downloaded a fresh no_intro package into a fresh "Packages" folder.

- After clearing cache, you force the game to generate cache of all CC all over again (no more relic stuff).

- Your new CC: no-intro, that's it!!!

Expected result:

- With no-intro package, you will load without intro.

If this doesn't work, then there is something wrong within the path, the resource.cfg, or something conflicted within the core game, etc....

If this works, then your basic setup is perfect. Start copying mods group by group from your old Packages folder over. Don't rush and try all at once. Maybe try getting all Anach's mods over (they may have to be together to work).

Also for your own sanity's sake, please create subfolders in your "Packages" folder to organize your mods. Name them anything you like, like "Hack" "Clothing" "Hair" "Little Fixes" .... your CC library will grow, it will like searching needle in the hay stack if a mod goes wrong.

Hey tomomi, i tried ur baby steps u wrote still dont work, even downloaded a new resource.cfg from this site and still nothing happens, its really odd i dont get any errors when trying to start the game so i'm not sure why its not working.

I have followed everything to the book.. Maybe i will just have to play the game without packages and use sims3packs.

I am sorry to hear. I can really make it work for you if I have access to your computer (as in, in front of me). But since that isn't the case ...

One thing comes to mind, I think your TS3 is pointing at a different location than your "My Documents/... Sims 3" folder. But I don't have a quick fix for that beside re-installing. But you have to make that decision as it will take a bit while to reinstall and redownload all patches. Keep in mind: after installing base game or an EP, make sure you update the game to current before installing another EP.

Another thing, look into your resource.cfg to see if there is anything not matching up! Resource.cfg is nothing but a text file, opened through Notepad. If you spend 5-10 minutes reading it you may understand what it means:

- Priority = the number TS3 considers to which group should override which (Priority 600 will override 599, if they happen to have the same content).

- Check the spelling and file locations. Keep in mind anything in there will assume the hierarchy of your resource.cfg location. For example:

PackedFile Packages/*.package

means ... look into "Packages" folder for all .package file at the location of .... My Documents/Mimi/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods

Just double check every little details, your trouble may lay there.

And if that doesn't work out, I think you should tell your game versions. Go to program files or program files (x86) (if you have one) -> electronic arts -> the sims 3 -> game -> bin. Open skuversion.txt and there is your game version on the first line. Copy it here. If you have any EP's or SP's, find their game versions too. Just go program files or program files (x86) (if you have one) -> electronic arts -> EP or SP name -> game -> bin.

Sims 3 Fast Lane: GameVersion = 5.0.44.008001

Sims 3 Night Life: GameVersion = 6.2.4.010001

Sims 3 World Adventures: GameVersion = 2.0.86.002002

Launcher uptades only the base game and the newest EP/SP so you need to uptade manually others in between.

Hi all, I have finally got it working at last.. :lol: funny it was the Resource.cfg file, that made it not work.. all i had to do was write Resource and not .cfg on the end..

So to all that helped thx :beer:
