Hi
I was just wondering if someone could please help me with my fence that I'm creating in TSRW. So far I have followed Flabliki's Video Tutorial Basic Meshing step by step (found on the simsupply website), but after editing my mesh in milkshape and importing back into TSRW they appear very different. Have I done something wrong?? I'm also curious as how to create a new texture for the fence. I'm using photoshop, but I am at a wall as how to edit it I've googled and read a number of different tutorials and they all just confuse me. Can someone help this dummy finish her fence. :help:
I have attached my image discrepencies to this post. Any help would be lovely!! :faceslap:

What is the fence you cloned? Sometimes the multiplier makes the mesh of the object invisible for me, so that might be a possibility.

Seems like you cloned a fence that had no upper part to it in the texture. Just replace the defaults and it will fix itself.

There are three mesh parts you need to edit, the straight fence, diagonal fence and the post. In TSRW the image shows you all three, kinda stacked up on each other. On the mesh tab there should be a drop down box to export/import each of the three meshes to edit.
For the texture I do something like so: http://www.hugelunatic.com/shading-in-cs3. I usually have to do a bit more than just that, but hopefully it gives you a starting point. If you want to try your hand at Blender there is a tutorial by orangemittens on baking your multiplier.

I cloned fenceEgyptStone because I wanted a solid fence without gaps as I am trying to make a corrugated cyclonefence similar to the attached picture. Should I try a different mesh?

Any suggestion how to fix the texture? I cloned it from the EgyptStone Fence by EA. I've basically stretched the current mesh as you can see in the milkshape picture, do I need to replace the texture, which I wanted to do anyway, but haven't figured out how yet. I'm gonna have a look at what hugelunatic suggested in her post.
P.S. HugeLunatic I exported each individual mesh for the post/diagonal/fence meshes just like Flabliki did in his video tutorial and imported each individually again into TSRW.
Overall should I just start again on another mesh, if yes can anyone suggest a better one that what I chose?
