This has now happened 4 times and it happens with out warning. I'll just be using CAW all find and dandy and the whole thing shuts off.
First thing that came to mind was that the computer was overheating, but each time I checked the video card and Processor they are not running to hot. Other games on my computer run hotter and do not shut it down.
CAW runs fine aside from a strange thing that if I go "File -> Open Recent" CAW will crash. So I avoid that and it runs fine for a while before it shuts off the computer.
Anybody have any ideas or heard of this problem?
Thanks,
armiel

Can your PC run CAW? What are your PC specs?
Also, I don't recommend opening the CAW files from the recent files, browse to the actual save file instead.

CAW runs great on my computer actually prior to it shutting down the computer. My system is as follows:
Windows XP 32bit version
Intel D975XBX Extreme Addition MB
4 gigs of Ram
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.4GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4870 1G Ram (used to display 2 of my 3 monitors)
ATI X600/X550 512MB Ram (used to display the 3rd monitor)
600 W Power supply
And I can't open my maps using recent files as it crashes so soon as I scroll over the option. So I always browse to the file.
Could custom content have anything to do with this? I don't use any CC in the construction of my maps, but I haven't removed my CC and mods from the Packages folder while using CAW.
Thanks for your time,

I for got to add that I get this File Load Error when I first open a saved map:
Unable to load the file. (then it shows the location of where the map is and continues with) Unable to open the store. [Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131460]
After I hit OK it allows me to use, edit and save the map. But then out of nowhere and at any point, but mainly right after a save, it will completely shut off my computer to where I have to turn off the power supply and then turn it back on to allow my comp to turn on again. My map saves fine and I don't loose progress, most of the time, but it's driving me crazy!
Can anyone shed light on this problem?
Thanks,

If your PC shuts down, that almost certainly indicates a hardware problem. Usually if your PC runs out of memory or crashes your graphics card, the OS will continue to run. If the computer overheats or if it does not have enough power then that could cause a shut down, as Armiel mentioned.
First thing to do is to monitor your system temps and voltages whilst you play, by using HWMonitor:
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
You can leave that running as you play, and see what your temps are doing.
Another thing to do is to check your system event logs to see if there are any clues:

My guess is that your power supply is not adequate- that HD 4870 needs a minimum of 500W, which leaves only 100W for the other card and the rest of the PC components (fans, CPU etc).
You can also try some of the things mentioned here:

The bit about clearing caches is particularly useful if you have had a crash.

I was starting to suspecting that it might be the power supply myself. Thanks for all this info and suggestions, I'll got through them and see if anything helps.
