How to bring up Band menu?

Having LN for this long, I just started to form band recently. 4 sims with different kinds of jobs (rank 10 Business, rank 8 Film, rank 3 Bookstore clerk, and an unemployed).

Anyway, after installing Generations EP, and 1 day of struggling with CC, everything works great now except ... all my sims appear to have lost all their skills. Their skill menu says "This sim has no skill". However it is not true as these sims still have skills (I figure this out when I tried to add them manually via Master Controller). So my problem: Skill list is not functional, which is the only place I know how to bring up Band menu.

I am not asking for help on the defective UI about Skills. I just want to know How to bring up the Band menu? via short cut, hot key, or any other mean beside the skill list?

I haven't got any luck searching around for this.

The normal route is clicking on a sim --> friendly ---> ask to join band.
If you're not getting that, then there is probably some bad CC somewhere in your game still. Do you use .package files, .sim3packs, or both?

The best thing I can think of is taking all your CC out, including the .sim3packs (if you have it) and run the game and see if the interaction is there.

No no, I already have a band.

I am not going to take all my CC out. My town won't last 2 days without CC. Before I could find out which mod is causing the problem, I either hope for a short cut key (as what I am asking for now) or not playing without Band menu altogether. Yes, I know for sure the skill menu is there, and skills are there. In fact, I think you didn't read my post correctly and thought I was asking how to form a band.

I already have a band, I just need a way to bring up my Band menu other than via Skill menu

What do you mean by the "band menu" ? I don't think I'm quite sure I know what you're talking about.

click J for seeing the skill journal...

I needed this badly because my only way to access this menu is through going to the Band skill which requires clicking on the "Skill Journal" button next to Band skill. This was impossible for me because there was a mod that caused all my sims' skills to disappear (it says sims have no skill at all, even skils are still there).

If anyone cares to know, the culprit is Hidden Skills Unhidden (http://sims3.modthesims.info/download.php?t=436732) . I had the older version, after updating it, it is all good now. The whole time I was blaming one of Twallan's mods for it, until I found out I put this little mod among Twallan's mod (was a quick download, and forgot to re-categorize it afterward)

Anyhow, press J is very useful, a whole lot more convenient than accessing the skill journal through UI. Thanks again haricots.

It's ok... And yes, shortcuts are very helpful. I just hate the scrapbooks from Generations patch. No shortcut!
