Parents Away... And never come back?

:blink: So I've been playing Generations for about a week or so now, and I adore it. I like the new interactions and all the new quirks that come with it (Like when you make your imaginary friend real and they love doing EVERYTHING because they've never done it before). My only issue is that I guess my parents went away on the vacation so their teens could throw a party. That was over a Sim week ago. They haven't returned. I wouldn't necessarily mind that much, because I was sort of tired of them, but they've missed one child aging into a teen, another one getting married (and about to have his first baby) and the eldest having their second child.

They're still in my other Sims' relationship panels (and alive), but they aren't anywhere to be seen, nor are their icons there. With them there is 8 in the house, so my other Sims still can't try for baby, but the parents aren't there. I've tried doing resetSim on both of them, and they didn't come back, and I've had one Sim "Call Everybody Home" on his phone. How long does this "vacation" last?

Anyone else have this problem>

I've had a similar problem, but it showed that both were still on vacation. It stopped when I quit then restarted the game.

Were yours still in the side "tray" with all the rest of the Sims? Because mine aren't actually there. I've quit and restarted the game several times since them, and they still haven't come back/ their icons reappear

They were still in the little relationships thing, but it said they were on vacation, but their pictures weren't there.

That makes me feel slightly better hahah. I'm glad it's not just me.

Try that first - every step, in order, and don't skip anything! Even if it doesn't say your specific problem, try it anyway, as it's a good starting point to rule out the most common causes of game issues.
