View Full Version : Houses with secret stuff

I *love love love* houses that have secret rooms, secret passageways, or even ghosts that come with the lot. What do you look for in houses like these? Do you expect skeletons or stuff associated with evil and murder? Do you prefer stuff like secret gardens or libraries, etc.? Personally, I like anything involving secret stuff. Right now I'm STILL trying to figure out where Comedy hid his tombstones in his haunted dorm. I tried searching for many days two years ago, but to no avail, and I'm going to start trying again. Anyway, anyone else love those houses? I hate when I have the urge to look at the secret room pictures and I spoil the surprise for myself. It would be so much more fun if we could play the Sims 2 in first-person mode.

Love it. I made a community park for winter and hid bears in the woods; granddaughter never found them all. And made a house with a grave (a CC) UNDER the house; "frogs" (a little statue), which I put in the tub, and around the pond); and an irritating townie in the fireplace. I've been killing off households in one hood, trying to see how bug & ghost ridden I could leave it, and how much dirt, holes, and weeds I could get in the yard for the next tenent.

The preexisting house at 314 Bay View Avenue in Belladonna Cove is a one-story house, except for one very small room just over the top of the master bedroom. There were no stairs connecting the two floors! My Sim wanted an art studio, so I put in a spiral staircase & bought an easel. The house might have other secrets, I don't know yet.

Don't forget the mansion in the pre-made downtown. It's not really a secret but the tiny basement idea was really cool. I wonder if someone was suppose to live there, but they never made the character? (Vampire :) )

Cool, thanks for sharing those facts, Lizard49 and Lecharia. I never knew about those! I'll go on The Sims 2 wiki and look up more houses. :) Also, one of the occupied homes in Belladonna Cove has an attic with a genie lamp.

Lecharia, if you're referring to the House of Fallen Trees, they DID make the family that originally lived there - the eight Tricou ghosts plus the single inhabitant (Rainelle N-something-or-other) who is also dead: her tombstone is in the back garden.

However, I haven't explored Downtown that thoroughly in terms of residential lots, so you may be referring to another house.

oh no that house has a very large basement, one that is deep

some houses in Belladonna Cove have secret rooms that you can enter using the secret door bookcase

i once made a house with a secret room for the re-aging elixir using the bookcase, i also placed the planks for some hobbies there too.

houses with secret stuff and rooms/places do add curiosity to the players and make the game more interesting, plus it gives the house more space ;)

The House of Fallen Trees in Downtown also has lights that are not very bright. I can't remember what you have to enter in the cheat box for them to be as bright as the usual lights. I do know the brightness can be changed.

No, not in Belladonna Coves, but in Desiderata Valley...

That'd be the Aspir house.

I always sell the lamps off.

Not if she doesn't like them.

Yeah, I know. But you can get much more money than selling that, right? (Just my opinion, never mind)

I don't do genies. :P

As far as the bookcase, I figure that pulling out the mystery novel triggers a switch. :)
