How do I remove the black borders?

Sorry if this question doesn't belong here, but I couldn't find anywhere on this,
I'm using Sony Vegas and I don't know how to remove the blackborders on the side of the video clip. And when I upload them to Youtube, I want the videos to be fullscreen. Help thanks!

I think the poster meant the black boarders on their Sims videos. They just didn't state this in detail.
