Lower level roof still visible below upper level

So, I'm building a Victorian-style home, and I'm having a bit of trouble with the spire roof. More specifically, the roof below the spire roof. I can still see it through the windows of the tower.

I tried placing both a flat roof and a conical roof under the spire roof, but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

Rooves under conical and octagonal roofs do not cut off at all. Neither do rooves above a certain pitch. Its one of the little flaws that really bug builders. :P

No, you can't see it in Live Mode.

@TVRdesigns--thanks for letting me know. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I couldn't get it to work. I guess I'll just have to live with it the way it is.

@Volvenom--it's visible through the windows when all the walls are up, but since there's nothing on that level to play, it's no big deal. I was just thinking of putting a bell up there to make it a bell tower, but it looks a little funny with the roof cutting through the bell.

@Cameranutz--is it not supposed to be visible in live mode? It's still showing up for me.

You could perhaps just put a frieze or something under the tower. It might be too high though, some of the roof might still be visible too. Just a suggestion.

That's a great idea, Volvenom! Unfortunately, in the short amount of time I turned on live mode to get the screen shot for the last picture, the game moved a family into the house. Good thing I saved a copy before shutting down last time, but I'll have to place it in another neighborhood since there are no more 40x40 lots in BB. Once I have it placed, I'll try placing a frieze and building on that.

One more question for y'all--where can I find the standard mailbox in the catalog? I built in Barnacle Bay, so it has the BB mailbox, but if I were to upload the house, I don't know if that would cause problems for those who don't have BB or not.

I would think the game just overrides it, but I can't be sure.
