Investigator outfit

My Sim is an investigator, his outfit is nice, but its too brown, and I'm not all for the fedora. I want an outfit that is a trench coat that I've seen in the unlockoutfits cheat.. its like a dark, opened, leather trench coat, and he wears normal semi-dressy pants and no hat. Or one like the one the chick is wearing on the EP cover.
I thought maybe as I progressed in the profession my outfit would change, but that is not so. I can use the outfit as one of my set outfits like everyday or formal, but he will just change back into his investigator outfit when on a case.
Any suggestions?

That would involve a mod. My suggestion would be to try WCIF, or, if you want to try to figure out for yourself how to edit career outfits, look through the Modding Discussion forum under Create.

You can download Merkaba's mod: No Uniforms To Work and set the everyday outfit to your taste, when the sim goes to work, he will wear the everyday outfit. It worked well for me but I didn't try it with professions so I'm not sure. :|
