View Full Version : Option for Change Pet's Appearance Missing from all Mirrors
27th Jul 2011, 3:12 AM
I'm not sure what the problem is I purchased a collar from the Pepe's Pet store for a dog purchase at same store. When the Sim returned to their home lot I directed them to the mirror to change pet's appearance to put collar on, however this option was not available on the mirrr. I switch mirror's (all Maxi) and none of the mirrors allowed this option. I don't know how long this has been a problem since I haven't tried to use this option in a very long time.

I'm afraid that I don't know the answer, since I never play with Pets, but have you done the Game_Help:Game_Problem FAQ? If not, please do. If you have, please let us know exactly what you tried and the results of your tests.

Before posting I tried on my own to find a solution including searching Game Help. This does not fit any description listed. I don't know when problem actually began since I haven't tried to use this particular function, but it has existed for a while because I noticed the option not there even when I send sim to change their appearance. I only have one mod/hack that uses a mirror and that is the sim controller. I will remove it and see what happens. My game has several funky issues, when my sims leave for vacation they no longer need a nanny to stay with pet. This is not a problem because nothing bad happens noone shows up when they return to take away pets. Also, while on vacation there are no longer other sims checking in as hotel guest. Also not a problem just something I noticed recently. Anyhoo, thanks again for responding, I will follow-up and let you know my results.

It wasn't the Sim Controller tool so I'm still stumped. I plan on installing Apartment Life and the Holiday stuff and I will have to remove all mods & hacks so I will probably be able to find a reason for these missing gameplay options. For now the collar is really not that important, just missed the option and was concerned that this was the beginning of a bigger problem.

This is a side point, really, but how does "Any other problem" not fit the description of your problem? :p .
This is probably CC - you'll find out in due course, it seems.

Perhaps you mean well and I don't want to come across as rude, but your comment is a bit snippy and unnecessary especially since you stated the obvious conclusion I've already reached, but thanks anyway for your input.

I believe that Whiterider was not intending to be snippy, but was simply wondering how "Any other game problem or error", which is at the bottom of the list on the first page of the FAQ, doesn't fit the description of your problem? It is important to the staff here to have the best help available in the wiki.

I know it sounded snippy, hence the non-snippy smiley. :)
