So i know this thread is kinda out of topic, but my question could not fit in any (sims) category!
Anyways what I wanted to ask is how do you edit the User Interface for the Sims 1? like changing the startup logo, buttons, etc. I've already tried programs like FarOUT that allows you to view FAR files for the UI used in TS1. It doesnt work.
I have no clue as how to put custom elements into the game.
Please help!!

No offense, but you may as well ask how to hack 3D Pinball from Windows 2000. The majority of modders (i.e. the people with the knowledge to do this) likely don't even have computers that can run TS1 anymore. Just putting that out there.

Well, I'm not so sure about that though I have to say I've forgotten most of what I knew about modding TS1. More importantly, this is not a TS1 site and never was. The OP might be better trying to find a TS1 modding community. There is still quite a fan base for the first game and groups online doing stuff together. But don't ask me who they are - I abandoned the first game as soon as I put the disk into the drive for TS2.

Oh, okay. I wanted to know because i'm currently on my netbook which can't run TS2, but TS1 is installed. The interface of TS1 looks a bit dull so I wanted to make it look something like TS2.
Thank you, i'll try to find a forum for TS1.
