Ok first i hope this is the best area of the site to put this on. Second, I didnt see any posts about it so here:
So it is August 9th and The Sims Social was just launched around late morning today on
Facebook! :p We finallyyy got what we've been waiting for. I started playing today but it disconnected a bunch of time, so i played for maybe a total of only like 20 min. First the tutorial got a little annoying, but it was quick. Then all the sudden all these random people kept popping up sayin "earn simoleons!" and "plant seeds!" and i felt i wasnt able to just do what i wanted. Also, the needs system is different, and go down faster than in the real Sims 3, at least. Lastly, I wanted to click on all the buttons just to see what it was like and pretty much 90% ended up in a window asking you for your credit card info or whatever to buy "Sim Cash." It annoys me that (on the top bar) there are like 8 different currency systems:
1. Simoleons
2. Sim Cash (I love how it really isnt the same thing as simoleons)
3. XP points
4. Energy
5. At least another one that I forget. :faceslap:
But all in all it doesnt seem TOO bad and is sorta just made to pass time if youre bored and cant play the real Sims 2/3 etc. I recommend it to someone who cant afford any or many sims games, since it is free (at least to begin with, haha), and also people who like "busy" games like FarmVille or CityVille or We Rule or whatever. (personally i dont like those because you just click on little houses / crops to get $$$ and XP and just keep waiting 30 seconds to keep clicking on houses or crops.) But since this is the Sims version of those types of games its not so bad as its not just focused on crops or cities and more about playing as a person through their lives and "meeting neighbors" and earning things. But of course it does not compare to TS3. If you want to play its, free on Facebook. I just search "Sims social" and press "Go to app." ;)
