Is it me or is the rotation for objects annoying as &*#@?!
I can't seem to get the rotation to go in any uniform manner, idk if its me, or the mouse, or CAW. It just seems no matter which way I move my mouse the object will go in one direction, then go.. WOOSSHH in 300 circles. And then, just as it seems I got it so close to where I want it... NOPE! WOOSSHH Again!
Is there an easier way to rotate objects without having them spin out of control and never lining up where I'd like them? or do I have to live with this?

You could do it numerically, by altering the rotation figures in the object properties.

I would hazard to say the problem is CAW, not you or your mouse, the controls are quite mediocore, plenty of room for improvement to say the least ;)
If only they would also add object axes... And fix the broken controls
But really you are probably best off using numerical values like Simsample suggested, or a combination if you can get the crippled rotation tool to place the item roughly at the right angle (especially if you're working with 3 axis of rotation). Also having the camera in the right angle might also make the manipulation a bit easier

Well, looks like I'm stuck with it =\ I'll try the number thing tho, see how that helps.
Also, I've been looking around at some other threads, and I can't get into EIG, the sims launcher just comes up. Just to clarify, there hasn't been a solution to this problem yet has there?

The first question is "do you have generations?"
If the answer is no then try this:
http://www.the-isz.com/nraas/index.php?/topic/720-getting-a-downloaded-world-in-caw/page__st__40__p__17484#entry17484
Generations introduced a new executable called ts3w.exe which the last two (I think) versions of CAW calls for but cannot find
Another solution could be to get Generations if you do not already have it (I had to do that), town life might also work, but I do not know
There is a few other problem fixes around, but I do not think they are for EIG problems as such, still the general fixes thread might give something if you have not already gone over it

Well, there is a few options:
You can roll back to patch 1.19 and get a pre-generations version of CAW (v. 1.11.04 I think). This means a full uninstall of everything down to the base game though
You can try what is suggested in the link I posted above http://www.the-isz.com/nraas/index....7484#entry17484
You can export your world and build on the lots inside the actual game, then export them to the lot bin and add them to the final world (you will have to re-export your world for each change you add lots though)
You can buy generations, it might fix your problems completely, it did for me
Personally I would probably give the hotfix a try before considering either rolling back or exporting the world.
If you want to buy Generations is another matter. I know a few people dislike the though of having to buy an expansion just to fix a problem, but it might just fix it completely.

Yea, I don't think I want to buy generations, It didn't seem all that appealing to me, I'm kinda picky. I however, already did order Pets, which I am dying in suspension for that to come out.. HORSES!!!! but anyways... You think if I stick it out til Oct. Pets might fix it since it'll be the newest expansion?
