View Full Version : Mirror problem -- reflecting back side
26th Aug 2011, 9:55 AM
It's pretty wired. I have made a mirror yesterday, and it reflected things behind it instead of in front of it. Never had such problem before. I checked everything and don't have a clue why this happened. Does anyone encounter similar problems before? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Have you tried flipping the mesh around? If that works, then it's probably a assignment issue.

"flipping around"? I tried reverse normals and found out that it's not the cause.
What do you mean for "assignment issue"?
The wired thing is that when I removed the mesh of frame and only the mirror surface worked fine in game, but as soon as I added the mesh of frame, the mirror reflected the frame behind it and then the things in front of it. I tried to change the shapes of the frame and got the same problem.

By flipping, I meant reversing normals. I'm not much of a mesher.
What program are you using for the mirror?
You should try creating a thread in Object Creation where most of the object creators are, they will be able to help you better than I can.
