Four Funerals and a Wedding

Well three funerals actually, but I thought it was a catchy title ;)

So my sim got engaged and I usually have a private wedding but this time I decided to throw him a party (I don't know what came over me...)
I invited guests, bought a buffet, a wedding arch, a cake, some balloons, the whole nine yards and the party went surprisingly well (little did I know...)
After the exchange of wedding rings I told the newlyweds to cut the cake, everybody grabbed a plate but before anyone took a bite the father of the groom died... :( the ghost was white, so it was obviously the old age (the timing was terrible, Grim Reaper was probably just looking for an excuse to crash my cool party) but after the lamentation no guest would touch any food, like it was poisoned or something...
Grim decided to hang around and that was actually a good idea on his part because not much later one of the guests died of starvation :/ (silly him... the stuffed turkey was just sitting there!)
Then after that, another sim died but it was weird... the ghost was red, but there was no fire... (red ghosts are from death by fire, right?) he was a vampire, which I didn't know because he was a normal sim just a day earlier... but it was already dark so I don't think the sun burned him... I have no clue what was that about... maybe I should have serve him some plasma fruit?
Anyway that was the ultimate wedding disaster!
On the other hand it was like the most interesting party I've ever had in the sims 3, because they usually turn out pretty lame and uneventful...

How about you guys? Any odd party experience?

I had one, but only because my racist aunt crashed my party. I had a sim who was white marrying a sim who was black. She came up, looked at my computer, and said, "That sim is BLACK." I said, "Yeah..." "And she's marrying a WHITE GUY." "Yeah..." "Why did you do that?!"

It was a lovely party otherwise.

Actually, if he was a vampire, then a red ghost is normal. Vampire ghosts are red and they have that pulsating heart. ;) Sim who has died by burning has an orange ghost, with animated flame and smoke texture.

Anyway, I wish something interesting would happen in my sims weddings, as well. Just held one yesterday and nothing, not even a meteor. :lol:

Maybe the sim who turned red had been bitten but not transformed to a vampire yet. Or he was burnt or something?

I hope my next sim party is gonna be just 1% as interesting as yours was. You're right, they're usually pretty lame.

Party, I got one. My very first Sims wedding party... I have all EP and SP. Then when they exchange rings, everything suddenly goes dark and BOOM! Both of them died... Silly meteor -_-

When I first got Generations I tested out the bachelor and bachelorette parties just to see how they work. During my bachelorette party, some of my sim's friends were dancing with the two scantily-clad firemen, including this blonde woman who I can't remember her name so we'll call her Betty. Just after that, my sim's best friend was giving a toast when all of a sudden... Betty started going into labor! So the party halted while everyone freaked out around her (including the dancers) and by the time she finally left the party to go either to the hospital or to her home, everyone was tired and left. The thing is, Betty didn't look pregnant at ALL. :blink: She was actually quite thin.

My party was still a success though.

Sorry, it was my REAL aunt, in real life. Yes, I have a real-life aunt who is racist against my sims.

Wow...that sounds like some glitchtastic chaotic fun! What a party! :lol: The most eventful thing that happened at my Sim's wedding was that there was a Sim with commitment issues who kept getting thought about and laughed at. It got so bad that he was crying. Poor guy. He was my Sim's best friend so he had to come to the wedding. Either he was crying because he was getting laughed at and disapproved of by other Sims at the party or it was because he thought their marriage was beautiful. Or it could be an in-your-face reminder that he'll be alone the rest of his life.
