View Full Version : Other mods that affect free will (besides ACR)?

I've done a little investigation but I'm wondering if there are any other recommended mods that affect free will?
I have the ACR, although I'm a little undecided about that. (Makes me want to rename everyone Mr. and Mrs. Humps-a-lot.)
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Yerrrs I know what you mean but you can tone it down you know. I use ACR but on a fairly short leash for most of my sims. The key is setting their tokens to be non-dynamic.
There are a few minor behaviour/free will affecting mods out there but nothing as comprehensive as ACR AFAIAA. Still, ACR adds a nice random element to the game. I think most people who try it end up liking it because it keeps things interesting but it's not for everyone.

Yeah, I just installed ACR this week and am getting used to it.
I was a little disappointed because a couple I had started trying to get together went on a date to a community lot...and immediately whohoo'd in a hot tub. They just made a beeline for it.
Annoying because they weren't even a couple yet.

I've got ACR2, and in that there's a way to tweak the STR/LTR (short-term relationship/long-term relationship) settings so sims supposedly won't engage in the higher romantic interactions until they hit those relationship levels. And it can be different for each aspiration.
I'm not sure I'm understanding this feature, though, because I raised the default settings to higher levels for each aspiration, yet even though Family sims aren't supposed to be woohooing until they're at 90/60 with their SO, they're still doing it much earlier than that.
Which is why I'm wondering if I'm misinterpreting what those settings are for. It's either that, or that feature isn't working properly. Anyone else have any experience with this?
I (and anyone else with ACR2 questions) should really probably check at Simbology to see if this is/has been discussed.

Darby, it might be because you left the token setting on dynamic. I change it to static so I can control who behaves like a wanton hussy and who does not.

Ah. I do leave it on dynamic, so that could be it. Thanks for the tip! I'll change it to static and see what happens. :)
