I want to start companies in my game. For example I'd like to create an electric and water company which i can have sims pay by using moniques payer bills but it would be nice if i could figure out a way for sims to actually get a bill in the mail for whatever. I'd like my companies to be able to bill sims but maybe I'm wanting too much? I'm going to have my mayor or treasurer of the place own the companies but if students live in university then i'll have them pay the university president the funds.

How would i place lots anywhere without roads i know the lot adjuster has this function but i have no clue how to do it? I'd love to be able to figure out how to use the adjuster the my best ability that way i can have my city be more compact in some areas like my businesses or apartments ( i want to build a complex that will go in a square so i don't have to use big lot for the apartments and deal with lagging so that i can place a club house off road, a parking lot off road, a park off road). I've clicked the advanced option to have it be off road but what do I do after that in game?

Also, I have decided that it is odd that sims can get married or have businesses without licences. I think that a painting would be the best way to fix this. My CEP is installed correctly but my Sim Pe won't recognize it at all and the button is checked for it so i don't know what the issue is? I have the 72 version of it and the current CEP. How do I fix this so I can make the licenses to upload for a little more realism to add to the game?

Last question: Where is the tenant landlord mod showing up moniques because i download it and can't find it anywhere and i see others who say they have all the expansions and it works great. I have all eps and sps except for glamour life. I ask this question because
I want to add a real estate company to my city and university and I'd like my sims to rent homes/apartments. I know that there is a mod from simlogical but it was hard for me to figure out and since it is a global i didn't want to ruin my game with my own stupidity. I am however willing to give that another try if I must.

Technically you can get married without a license believe it or not...and last I checked you don't need a license to sell on eBay. :)

If you have the Celebration Stuff Pack it has something that looks like a marriage certificate.

I have an electric and water company, so to speak, and my sims pay for random services, but I decided that the best way to go about it was not to pay to particular sims, but to use ATM machine from monique to "pay" (by getting rid of money). Otherwise too many new sims had to be created. So no billing, sims just remember to pay :)

I realize it's a dumb question, but did you try reinstalling CEP?

As for real estate, you can organize a business by purchasing lots and then putting deeds on tables or hanging them on walls. But you'd need somebody to run the place. No cashier, though, buying lots is done without it. The problem I foresee is that other sims will buy lots that you want to remain untouched.

I can't help with renting, but I personally do it but "remember to pay" method :) Just decide who the landlord is, and send them the bill regularly. Afaik you can have apartment in uni, btw, if you simply rezone the lot, and they'll function like normal apartments with a landlord.

I've clicked the advanced option to have it be off road but what do I do after that in game?I have no idea what option you have selected; there is no advanced option to have the lot off-road.

There are two advanced options that you might want:

First "Move lot" will move your lot relative to its current position; if you move a lot to a location without a road, then your lot will be off-road. Be sure to backup your neighborhood first, then try moving the lot back a few squares; you'll see that the lot is no longer connected to the road.

Second "Add and remove roads" will enable checkboxes in the main area which will allow you to add or remove roads from the lot. If you don't want the road at the front of the lot, uncheck the Road checkbox associated with Front. Then, edit the lot and delete the road tiles at the front of the lot.

You may also want to adjust your portals. Use the Portal Revealer to make them visible.

A question about this Mootilda (which I guess is answered on your download thread) but... I'll ask anyway.

If you move the lot (something I have done several times but using SimPE instead) but off road using the Lot Adjuster, does it still anchor to the original road it was attached to? And, therefore, is that road space available to place a new lot or not?

When you move a lot, it detaches from the road. If there is space between the lot and the road, you should be able to place a new lot there.
