Hello.

I have a question on cloth meshing or recoloring maxis default clothes.

In the bodyshop, I did regular steps to get first 2 attached pictures.

Then using the photo editor, I recolored first 2 attached pictures into 3rd, 4th, and 5th pictures.

Then I opened the bodyshop for this clothes and 6th picture is what I got.

How do I delete the part that looks like grey?

Hope someone can please help me with this.

You would have to actually alter the mesh itself to shorten the dress. The Unimesh 1 meshing tutorial (in the Body Shop Meshing area) is about shortening a skirt.

Oh, thanks.
Do you mean http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:Unimesh_1_-_New_Mesh_Basics ?

Yes, that's the one I meant - I think I was slightly confused (it's been ages since I wrote the tutorials) - perhaps it's Unimesh 2 that goes over shortening a dress, but either way you should do Unimesh 1 first. :)

Oh, ok.

I think I got to do both and skip some parts, since I would be shortening the dress.

Like for example for me, in the Unimesh 1, I should skip parts that says Editing.

Cause the editing part shows the stuffs that I'm not trying to do currently, which is not
the shortening dress and it only has "~00MORPHMOD.1".

And do I need to have "Wes's Vertex Data Merge plugin"? Cause it doesn't list on the "Unimesh 1".

You should do the actual tutorials as written, not editing your dress until you've done the stuff it says in the tutorials. Set your dress aside for a day or so, do the dresses that the tutorials say, and then return to your dress once you know the basics.

Course I followed the steps of tutorial.
Some of the step in there were necessary for me.
And I just finished doing it.
Oh, this sucks.
It doesn't let me upload more images or zip files.....
