Login to MTS very difficult

Hi

I am logged in currently to MTS with my work address and there is no problem with logging in.

When I get home, MTS refuses to recognise my user name and password and tells me that I have used up all my attempts to logon and I am blocked for 15 minutes. I then try again and still have no joy.

My email addy at home is snipped by Audrey. I login with Audrey and <snipped by moderator>.

Please can someone sort out this problem.

Hi Audrey, you might have a corrupted cookie for MTS, where your username and/or password have become garbled. If you remove your MTS cookie you might solve your problem - when you login again a new cookie will then (hopefully) be saved with the correct details.

If you use Firefox, as I do, you go into Tools / Options / Privacy and then choose 'Remove individual cookies' - scroll along and look for cookies to do with MTS, and delete them. If you don't have Firefox, hopefully someone who uses whichever browser you use will come along and tell you what to do, but it will be a similar procedure.

Also, it's a really, really bad idea to give your email address out on a website - anyone could 'harvest' it and use it for nefarious purposes, so I recommend editing your post to remove the email address! Good luck!

I've snipped that word because, well, it's not a user account, so I'm concerned it might be your password. You know to never post your password anywhere public! If that was your password, change it now, because there are many caching sites and systems which would allow someone to see the old version of your post, before I edited it, meaning anyone could login to your account.

Interesting, soon after I replied to Audrey's post I kept getting thrown out of MTS with a 'server not found' error message, and it was only after I came back to this thread and saw your reply, that I was able to solve my problem via the thread you posted a link to. I now find that if I type nene in front of each page on this site (if the nene doesn't automatically get inserted as I go from page to page, which I'm finding it usually does), I seem to be able to stay in. Strange! Thank you for that link!
